ROCHESTER, Mich. — The Oakland Post, who has died aged 67, was a reliable source of Oakland University student news for several generations. Watching OU transform from a Michigan State satellite campus into a vibrant, nationally renown educational institution was The Oakland Post’s greatest passion.
Known for its hard hitting news like “OC expansion comes with headaches” by Cheyanne Kramer (2018) and “How to feel about the abilities in ‘Kirby and the Forgotten Land'” by Bridget Janis (2022), The Oakland Post kept the student body abreast of the newest campus happenings, always finding the most important scoops and holding the campus accountable.
Citing declining readership, the rise of fake news, and chronic, irreversible lameness, the Post’s family feels that “It was time. It had a good run.” and “Its better to sink in the shit, then to become the shit”.
While the smell of the Oakland Post will live on, both on the walls and in our hearts, its important that OU still has receives the news it deserves. To fill this unrelenting, yearning void, the Grizzly Tales will now service the campus community with the wet, hard, and thoroughly arousing news that makes you feel good. Need not grieve. Your needs will be fulfilled. It’s okay to move on. You want me, and I want you.

Saddest death since Theodore
This true. Fr fr. The Oakland Post is on hospice.
This is heartbreaking! I’m so glad that there is other sources of news on campus that are stepping up.
The astroturfing on this site is so blatant, I love it.
